THE LATEST SCORES…the tension builds.

I am enjoying immensely the captions for LUCKY PHOTO SEVEN.  Honestly, I think this is the best one yet.  You all are hysterical, and for some reason, a big, fat guy running up a greased pole brings out the best in all of us.  Thank you for making my dreary Friday morning infinitely better.  ("yum, frosting"--had me dying) And thank you to John for educating us all about The Feast of St. Julian, and this special gostra (?) tradition.  See, it always goes back to Lentertainment, doesn't it?

As you can see, the scoring is done.  Again, I apologize for the delay but counting up and allocating all FIVE HUNDRED AND FIFTY- FIVE (555) votes took a little time.  Once again, Judy killed it in the voting.  It's beyond impressive and a bit frightening how her people come out to vote--and I thought that was a real nice gesture on Rob's part to throw a vote to Judy's number one voter--Karla (who just might be a robot because she votes so fast)--true sportsmanship (or possibly gamesmanship).  So, of course, Judy got the 20 points for the most votes.  However, the race for second was quite compelling.  Both Rob and Linda utilized a time honored technique of bribing their voters.  Their efforts were well executed (donuts and beer--best bribes ever) and paid off handsomely.  Because their vote totals were 94 and 97 respectively, I awarded them both 10 voting points to make up for any counting errors that may have occurred as I was watching Dayton beat Stanford. (Go, Catholics). And 5 points for third place went to anyone else who had over ten votes--John, Joann and Jessica. (See? I told you you would all be rewarded for getting out the vote.  My word is my bond. You're welcome).

Finally, I awarded the all important extra credit: 20 points went to John for helping others navigate the blog (you can thank Molly Ryan for those points, JH) and for showing me how to get rid of the cake, 20 points to Rob for his rhyming votes and for excellent use of libations--way to bring some younger voter into the mix, 20 points for Linda because donuts are the best and she used them to their full potential AND she brought some new, fun comments in the voting, 20 points for Nate, because "Nailed it" was an awesome caption and his voting comments were even funnier, and 20 big, big points for Brifry, because he really will be saving America soon and very soon.

So, there you have it, Dear Readers.  It's still a very tight race. Rob has crept into the top three, hot on John's heels.  Will they form a bromance alliance and attempt to knock Judy off of her throne? Linda is making some serious moves, and if she continues with the Donut brigade, she may leapfrog into the top spot.  However, I wouldn't count out the clever Joann or the wily Jessica.  One good round with a healthy dose of extra credit, and the leader board may look very different. Stay tuned, Dear Readers…and wait and see.  There's more Lentertainment in store for all of us.

AND REMEMBER, CAPTIONS STOP AT 7PM TODAY!! FRIDAY!! But until then, keep them coming.
